A modern elegance -- eccentric hunting for eccentric. While I do not dress gothic, I have a mind so unlike many others that I cannot seem to use "normal" dating sites successfully. I wear pale colors -- corsets, lace shirts, and long skirts most days. Others it's frilly shirts and jeans when I feel lazy. I adore pearls and costume jewelry, accessories, and make some of my own.

Musicals and horror films are a huge part of my life. I'm a Phan, that is, an intense fan of Phantom of the Opera from book to film, but unable to travel to see the wonderful story on theater. I enjoy the older eras; Victorian through to the 40s or 50s. Medieval as well. Humans don't practice style the same way anymore. I often do renaissance faires and Pirate fests, as a costumed mermaid.

I'm old fashioned and fully expect chivalry, a gentleman if you will. I don't believe fully in gender equality and was born in the wrong era -- why should "independent, equal women" make the rest of us suffer? Men should still chase women, in my beliefs.
