 Posted: Post subject: Why vampyre? |

It seems that over the years as Ive browsed the net and joined different chat rooms that there was one subject that the room evolved around "becoming vampyre."
Seems like so many want this responsibility..they want to live this life. And at one time I would of agreed and said "Yes I too agree..it seems facinating"..but why? I am curious as to why people on here want to be "changed." I am not here to "poke" or step on anyone's toes. This is a chatroom..Im simply asking a question. Why vampyre?

`Vampires don't exist. Certain people with a mental issue crave blood and decide to make a cult. You can't be turned because it's just fiction.

`Its a medical condition.. among other things. I highly recommend this link for anyone truly interested in vampires. It answered most if not all of my questions. there are those out there who think they can be" turned" or by drinking blood it makes them a vampire. but most of what anyone knows about vampires is a myth. seek the truth it lies hidden.... because we decide to believe the made for hollywood,count dracula and twilight cherade.

`I totally believe what you are saying..but....Hollywood betrays "vampyres" to be something they are not. People are born with this..and they grow up realizing their differences and needs..basically a dhampyre. And if not attended to or guided..they will be a solitary for their life span. I have experienced this for myself..but everyone has their own believe and opinion..I respect that I do...but this lifestyle is not an easy one..it is a lonely one indeed..a road that not all are made for.

`for me I wouldn't want to be a vampire, wether it were real or not...to live forever? no thank you...to have to eat everyone in sight to appease a never ending thirst? It would be like always being hungry, can you imagine how painful and how cranky and impatient it can make you...not to mention weak...
I believe in psychic vampires though, there are people who suck up your energy...you're with them for a while and all of a sudden your drained beyond belief...

`Were not immortal...we belong in reincarnation. And we don't necessarily "eat" people". yes we do feed....but some don't feed off of blood..although blood is a main source. And there are times you get weak and sick if you don't feed for a certain amount of time. this life isn't an easy one I'll tell you that

As to the reasons why people want to be vampyres, it just depends on the type of vampyre you are talking about. If you are talking about the mythical supernatural kind, then the reasons are obvious. Strength, speed, attraction, all the things that people find fascinating about them. However, if you are talking about real vampyres, simply people who drink blood with no supernatural reasons or benefits, then I think it just stems from a desire to be different. They see a way to stand out, and that is what appeals to them. It could also be that they think they would have a closer relationship with like-minded people as opposed to the relationships that "normal" people have. It could also be that they just enjoy the taste of blood as I enjoy soda, but that is all just speculation.

`Hun some of this dont want to be this way. some are born this way..as I am. I naturally had a desire for blood. But when I started experiencing certain things within this realm...it opened my eyes. Ive had to be taken to the hospital because I was sick because I didnt feed for 5 months...and when I went they told me my iron in my blood was low....and its weird because my diet is great..im healthy..work out..im perfectly a healthy being. The level in my blood was good..until I stopped feeding because I refused to. That was another thing that made me realize..like wtf..really...is this real? There are many things that other people do not know and I do not tell. You believe what you want...and others will do the same. But at the end of the day..I am what I am. No changing it. I did not ask to be born this way..and yes I could have simply turned it down..but I chose to embrace it.

For me it is so I can be healthy and strong again and for all eternity. I have already been surrounded by darkness my entire life so why not walk down the dark path?

This is interesting. For some time I have been sickly. I have been told that I have low iron in my blood, to the point of taking iron supplements. I have always preferred my red meat to be medium rare and very juicy. I wonder if I am already a real vampire. I wonder if feeding on real human blood might help me. Perhaps you could give me some guidance here?
